Two cousins pack 40 years of comedy into a comprehensive, lavishly illustrated volume that skewers the advertising culture we currently inhabit. The Rhodes and Rose Lifestyle Digest also features many of Noel’s beloved characters including intrepid outdoors-man Steve Climber, the unlucky crooner Lorb Lorbson, cranky amateur scientist Stu Cranstence, and world-class athlete Steg Prongsten. This is their second book together published by Hardy Perennial Press, the first being MY Findings by Stu Cranstence in 2018.
Noel Rhodes and Owen Rose are first cousins who attended the same high school in the late 1970s where they started doing comedy projects together. They have continued ever since even though they live in different states. This volume brings together over 200 color and b&w illustrations that document some of their many different audio, video and photographic outings from four decades of work. Much of this material is drawn from their popular YouTube videos - like the Flextrek Whipsnake and Stryreechlinstral - that skewer the advertising culture we currently inhabit. The Rhodes and Rose Lifestyle Digest also features many of Noel’s beloved characters including intrepid outdoorsman Steve Climber, the unlucky crooner Lorb Lorbson, cranky amateur scientist Stu Cranstence, and world-class athlete Steg Prongsten. Southern Arizona botanist documents tiny blooms of the Santa Catalina Mountains.
Frank S. Rose takes a close look at over two hundred species of plants found in Southern Arizona. Using a powerful close-up camera, he’s taken over 1,000 color images to allow the viewer to see flowers not normally seen, that regularly get trampled because the entire plant looks so plain, or that get overlooked because the flowers are nearly invisible to the naked eye.
